When the UMC A&R for this band Fraser Hill first said he wanted me to hear this band and work on it I thought ok, but from the first note he played of "I Heard I Had", I already knew it and loved it, and had immediate ideas once the album title was decided. Calling back to a more British aesthetic by way of Curve and Depeche Mode, it was a literal interpretation of them coming out of darkness to light. All hand lettered for a rawness aside from the block of credits which gave it a contemporary vibe. Great photos by Norman Wong used as a base. Overall simple, minimal and striking.
