Third version of the first album I worked on for Subconscious Communications / cEvin Key in 2002. I had taken photographs around Vancouver BC, of glass and steel condominium development and it fit with the time they created this album. It was changing from what they had grown up with to a new and more expensive place to live with more high rises. It's gritty and noisy looking, as Phil Western (RIP) had described the album as four guys trying to figure out new equipment and how to work together. This album is sprawling and experimental and quite dark and I love it. Jam session photo by Clancey Dennehy in the Seymour St studio. A different time and place. The beginnings of something new. Just not what you thought it would be.
